What my Clients are Saying
“My body was stuck in fight or flight after years of living with mold, Lyme, and EMFs. I had become fearful of everything… every germ, every product, every home. It felt like everything in the world was harmful, and the only place I felt sort of safe was sitting in my backyard. I once traveled all over the world with zero fears, but I could not even handle a two hour dinner with my best friends anymore.
The very first Brainspotting session was huge. I realized my brain had a lot of PTSD from getting to such a scary point that I almost did not live. That session helped my body feel calm and safe again. I finally had the awareness, tools, knowledge, and detox support not to let myself get back to that point. Since starting Brainspotting with Sami, I feel like a whole new person and closer to my healthy self again. I could go into stores and friends’ homes that had mold without freaking out or spiraling. I felt calmer. I could handle exposures to toxins without my body going into fight or flight. I became more resilient. I even got back on a plane to another country and spent a month in Costa Rica.
Sami is so sweet, kind, and thoughtful. She never judges and has so much empathy and warmth. I always felt so seen and understood through the craziness I felt inside my mind and body. Brainspotting helped me get my life back. I feel steady, relaxed, and no longer in fight or flight all day every day. Absolutely recommend. Brainspotting turned my life around.”

“When I first started working with Sami, I was struggling with severe agoraphobia and nervous system dysregulation. I could barely leave the house, even with support, and often felt alone, confused, hopeless, and scared. I didn’t know what to expect from Brainspotting, but everything began to change. I became more in tune with myself and my body, started making decisions that aligned with who I really am, and saw massive progress in my ability to go out and engage with life. Now, I regularly leave the house, drive myself to the store, and even go line dancing with friends! My symptoms went from a 9 out of 10 to a 3 out of 10. Brainspotting helped me heal deep rooted patterns, release trauma, and step back into my independence. Sami creates a nonjudgmental, peaceful, and empowering space, and the work we did together will stay with me forever. I actively recommend the Lyme Resilience Collective to others because this work is truly life changing.”

“I joined the Lyme Resilience Collective because I love learning ways to improve my mental and emotional health. I believe that our emotional and mental health is the number one factor to properly healing. When I joined the support group, I was dealing with Bartonella, and my Lyme disease was coming back. These challenges made me feel both scared and hopeful. Scared because I did not want to die, but hopeful because I finally found the beast that had been attacking me for the past thirty three years.
Honestly, every part of the support group was amazing. The breakthrough I had with Brainspotting was surreal. Participating in the group supported my overall well being, and the people were incredible. We all shared the same goals and felt like we had known each other forever.
I highly recommend the Lyme Resilience Collective. Even my wife wants to join next.”
— David Butler, New Jersey
“Beyond tenacity, Sami is also exceptionally empathetic with communication skills I marvel at while also being very smart and inquisitive. Like many suffering from ailments like hers, self learning about her diseases and treatment options occupied her capable mind which led to curative paths she has been successfully pursuing. While enduring complex and body debilitating treatment she also discovered a recent mental health development, Brainspotting, and quickly recognized the value this modality could be for others with chronic diseases. Sami undertook comprehensive training post graduate school and earned certification in Brainspotting so she could execute her pre-illness desire to help others, now with a specialized focus on chronic illness.”
— S. Heston, Medical Consultant
“I discovered Sami through the Love, Hope, Lyme podcast and immediately felt connected to her story. As a former police officer living with Lyme and mold illness, I was drawn to Brainspotting as a gentler way to work through trauma. I went in a bit skeptical, but after just one session, I felt a major emotional release and lightness I had not experienced in years.
Sami has helped me process and let go of emotional weight I had been carrying for a long time. She truly gets what it is like to live with chronic illness, and her presence is grounding, compassionate, and real. She meets you where you are, whether you are diving deep or just need a lighter session that day. Sami is a beacon of hope in what can often feel like a dark journey.”

“I had a Brainspotting session with Sami, and I immediately felt her calming presence, which made it easy for me to open up. Her extensive knowledge of Lyme disease was incredibly supportive and reassuring. I truly enjoyed our session and have already noticed significant benefits.
Some of the changes I have experienced include improved sleep, which has been a huge improvement for me. My nervous system feels like it has reset a bit, and I have seen a reduction in discomfort and an improvement in my resting state. We also identified several key topics to work on, and I am excited to explore these further, reframing experiences to help reset my nervous system.I am grateful for the opportunity to explore this emerging field through her collaboration with The Ticked Off Foundation. I look forward to more sessions with Sami to uncover how trauma may have impacted my recovery.”

“I came to Sami with Lyme disease and debilitating anxiety. I felt stuck, frustrated, and angry, and I wanted to lessen or eliminate my irrational fear response. I had been stuck for decades, doing all the things. Antibiotics, herbs, supplements, and trying dozens of different modalities, and nothing ever gave me the kind of progress I needed. I was still anxious, still in pain, and still not myself.
Since starting Brainspotting and Wellness Consulting, I have had less anxiety, less pain, more energy, and a better mood. Anxiety is not totally in control of my life anymore, and I am doing things I would not have even thought of doing before. Brainspotting helped me get my life back. I feel steady, relaxed, and no longer in fight or flight all day every day.
Absolutely recommend. Brainspotting turned my life around.”

“I’m so glad I found Sami on the Love, Hope, Lyme podcast! I’m feeling much better and more like myself again for the first time in a long time, and I’m very grateful for the amazing brainspotting work Sami is doing!
When I first met with Sami, I was in a pretty dark place. The repeat viral infections I’ve had due to Lyme were really starting to take a toll on my mental and physical health. My nervous system felt frazzled, and I was having difficulty coping with things I should’ve been able to handle. I felt frustrated, anxious, sad, angry, confused, afraid, and out of control.
I felt very comfortable with Sami during my initial consultation and felt fortunate to work with someone who knows what it feels like to have Lyme. I’m inspired by what she’s accomplished for herself and the work she does to help others.
What I’ve experienced with Brainspotting has blown my mind. The relief I’ve felt from negative thought loops, bad memories, and heaviness in my mind and body was immediate. I’m now thinking more clearly and positively and having more ‘aha’ moments. I’ve had an increase in energy and activity, my mood has lifted, and I’ve even noticed an improvement in my immune system function, a cold that used to linger for 8 weeks cleared in 2.
There is something supernatural about what I have been experiencing. During my first Brainspotting session, the Holy Spirit showed up in my thoughts. I was able to see a trauma-based connection I was making to a current situation, and it helped me release fear and restore a relationship I care deeply about. Since then, songs, movies, podcasts, and other resources have shown up in meaningful ways. It’s clear that healing is happening on multiple levels—body, mind, and spirit.
The atmosphere with Sami is comfortable, understanding, positive, inspiring, and encouraging.
I recommend Lyme Resilience Collective because I want others to get better too!”

“I experienced a Brainspotting session with Sami and immediately wanted to learn more. I was struggling with fatigue, pain, and noise sensitivity, which made me feel like I’d never recover. I felt alienated from my loved ones and the world. The support group has been life-changing. It’s so helpful to connect with others on similar journeys and feel heard in a welcoming, supportive space. During our four weeks together, practices like EFT, Brainspotting, and visualizations gave me hope and tools to manage my symptoms. Sami is an incredible facilitator, and the nervous system regulation practices she teaches are essential for recovery. I’d highly recommend this group to anyone in the Lyme community.”

I wanted a group that understood these struggles and could offer support. During our four weeks together, learning new techniques like brainspotting and having a safe space to connect with others going through similar challenges were especially meaningful. “I am grateful for my connection with Sami. I have been following her on social media for some time now and was very curious about how she works with people to help reset their nervous systems. I have recovered from Lyme disease and tick-borne illness, but I am still struggling with some lingering emotional issues, specifically around anger. I have been hearing a lot about brainspotting, so I wanted to explore whether it could help me release some of this trapped energy. I am grateful that I did, because it definitely helped me shift to a more calm and peaceful state of being. We did two sessions, and I noticed an immediate shift in my being. I also had some incredible dreams after our sessions that related to things from my past, which I am taking as a sign that my subconscious was finally releasing these unhealthy emotions I had been harboring about them. I have been sleeping soundly through the night since. I wasn’t having sleep issues before, but I would usually wake up once a night. That is no longer happening, which I am grateful for. I feel that I am now able to reach a place of true comfort and rest since my sessions with Sami.”
— Anne Desjardins, Pennsylvania
“I have Chronic Lyme. I joined the Lyme Resilience Collective because I felt stuck, hopeless, and unmotivated. It has opened me up to new possibilities from within myself. It has taught me to be more present and get out of my head a little and to be within myself more instead of looking for external validation. I just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking time out of your life and hectic schedule to be here for us. My experience with the atmosphere was very positive, welcoming, kind and helpful. I enjoyed the education as well. You are a light and joy to be around.”

“I had been hearing a lot about how the nervous system affects health and chronic illness. I wanted to join Lyme Resilience Collective to discover how healing my nervous system could help me heal physically.
My expectations for the group were definitely met. I learned a lot, and the group has inspired me to pursue more emotional and nervous system healing in the future to improve my chronic illnesses. One moment I really valued was watching the Brainspotting demo in the first session- it made me want to explore it for myself. Participating in the group has supported my overall well-being tremendously. I now have a new avenue of healing to uncover and work on.
I absolutely recommend this group. Many people don’t realize that healing is so much more than just pills, supplements, and physical treatments. I’ve been sick for so many years, and it’s only now that I’m realizing the importance of emotional healing for physical healing.”
— Hailee Clifton, New Jersey

“I feel extremely blessed to be working with Sami. It felt as though we were divinely guided to work together. She was just starting her business, and I was in one of my lowest and most difficult health crises in my Lyme disease journey—mentally, physically, and emotionally. I was exhausted and at my wit’s end. Working with Sami helped me overcome a lot of stress, anxiety, depression, and pain. After experiencing Brainspotting, I found it to be incredibly helpful and well- received. It was so wonderful to work with a Brainspotting therapist who truly understands the challenges this brutal disease imposes on the body, mind, and soul.
I cannot recommend her enough! She understands what you need on a soul level. If anyone would like to talk or email me about her services, I would be honored and happy to give you a first-hand account.”

The daily struggles I face often make me feel weaker than I want to be, but hearing what others do to manage has been helpful. For the first time in a long time, I felt normal when I saw others who truly understood how I feel.
